School Nursing National Child Measurement Programme Volunteer, across Bradford
Monday- Friday, term time
We have an exciting opportunity for volunteers to support our School Nursing team to complete the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) The role will involve supporting the team in school settings across the Bradford District. As a school nursing NCMP support volunteer you will assist with collecting groups of children from classrooms as well as helping to organise them and assisting with the removal of shoes if needed. You will have good communication skills enabling you to speak, listen and give reassurance to the children as they wait to be weighed and measured.
This role would suit someone who would like term time volunteering or who may wish to gain experience of working with children in school settings.
This role will come into regular contact with service users and will be based at schools across Bradford and District.
Café Volunteer (Four Seasons Café, Lynfield Mount Hospital, Bradford BD9)
Monday to Friday
As part of our Four Seasons Cafe team, you will support in preparing and serving a range of hot and cold food and drinks, including making various types of speciality coffees and iced beverages, and assist in the daily operation of the café.
As a volunteer member of the café team, you will contribute to delivering a welcoming café experience for service users, visitors, guests, and staff members.
You will be able to deal with customers in a polite and friendly manner, with good communication skills.
If you have lived experience of mental health, or have previously worked in mental health then we would love to hear from you. We would also welcome applications from anyone with a willingness to learn.
Djembe/African Drumming Volunteer (Lynfield Mount Hospital, Bradford BD9)
Do you have a passion for playing drums? We are looking for someone to join our friendly team so that our patients can experience the powerful wellbeing benefits of playing music. If you don't have experience of playing Djembe drums but would like to learn, do get in touch.
As a Djembe/African drumming group volunteer, you will support the Four Seasons Cafe at Lynfield Mount Hospital to facilitate a weekly group to encourage creative expression, learn new skills and a means of connecting with others – Djembe/African drumming is well researched and “enhances ones concentration, promotes better flow of oxygen through deep breathing, reduces stress and anxiety, builds stamina, helps you “be in the now” and makes you happy by creating natural endorphins”
Bradford District Care Trust will provide the drums.
The post holder will come into regular contact with service users in hospital.

Singing Volunteer (Airedale Centre for Mental Health, Steeton BD20)
Do you have a passion for singing? Would you like to unleash your vocal energy to create a positive impact and aid recovery for service users.
As a Singing Volunteer, you will enhance the rehabilitation experience and wellbeing of service users through vibrant music sessions and spreading happiness through the power of song. As a singing enthusiast, you'll lead karaoke sessions, inspire confidence, and create memorable musical moments for diverse groups.
The post holder will come into regular contact with patients in hospital.
