Unit Helper / Assistant Leader

COVID Update: We've all been grateful for the student volunteers this year.  At the moment, Girlguiding have been meeting online so now may not be the best time to introduce a new volunteer. I'm not sure when that may change but I'm guessing it will be at some point in the Autumn term so please apply and we will contact you about starting with us when we open up again.

Do you want the opportunity to gain experience of working with young people? Do you want the chance to develop new skills, make a difference in the local community and become a part of a team of volunteers?

We are looking for female students to take on the role of unit helper or assistant leaders at rainbow, brownies and guide units across Bradford.

You will have the opportunity to undertake training in areas such as first response, safeguarding, gender equality and Girlguiding specific programme training. We will support you to develop leadership, communication, planning and organisation skills. In return, we ask for positive, friendly and organised volunteers who are committed to attending a session once a week.

Join our network of volunteers to have fun, gain new skills and have the chance to make a difference in the lives of young women in Bradford. We have a range of age groups, evenings and times of meetings so get in touch!
